The Regional Growth Partnership’s social media program has evolved from primarily sharing organizational updates into a strategic platform for telling Northwest Ohio’s economic development story, highlighting regional successes and connecting businesses with opportunities across the region.
During the second quarter, the RGP’s social channels continued to expand their reach, helping showcase Northwest Ohio’s economic momentum while engaging business leaders, site selectors and regional partners.
The organization’s LinkedIn audience grew to more than 6,500 followers during the quarter, while impressions increased more than 20% compared to Q1. Facebook also continued its upward trajectory, with follower growth approaching 20% and organic impressions increasing as RGP maintained a consistent stream of business-focused content.
The RGP also continues to outperform industry benchmarks for engagement. LinkedIn achieved an average engagement rate of 8.5% during the quarter, while Facebook maintained 6.9%—both exceeding typical engagement rates for organizations of similar size. These results reinforce the RGP’s position as one of the leading economic development organizations in Ohio for leveraging social media to amplify regional success stories, engage key audiences and promote Northwest Ohio’s business opportunities.
Throughout the quarter, RGP highlighted business expansions, investment announcements, industry trends, available sites and buildings, workforce resources and regional success stories. Several posts—including coverage of the Northwest Ohio FAM Tour, SelectUSA Investment Summit and Momentum Breakfast—generated strong engagement, reinforcing interest in content that highlights the region’s economic development successes.
Beyond social media, these efforts continue to support broader marketing goals. Organic search, social media, referral traffic and email all increased year over year, helping diversify how audiences discover the RGP. Visitors arriving through these channels also spent more time engaging with website content, indicating that the RGP is reaching audiences with relevant and valuable information.
As the program continues to evolve, the RGP remains focused on creating strategic, business-focused content that strengthens Northwest Ohio’s reputation, expands awareness of regional opportunities and connects companies with the resources needed to grow.
