"We have it all here in Northwest Ohio, and we're sitting in a better place than other parts of the country because of our ability to access multiple fuel sources and the infrastructure to deliver that energy to business and industry across the region."
— Gary Thompson, Exec VP/COO, Regional Growth Partnership

The RGP recently initiated a campaign highlighting this key advantage, targeting businesses in the manufacturing, automotive and energy sectors, as well as national site consultants.
The energy campaign has a total distribution of more than 2,500 recipients. The open rate for these emails exceeded 30% with a click through rate of 5%, both above industry averages.
Along with a fortitude of energy sources to serve industry needs in Northwest Ohio, the RGP also utilized the campaign to focus specifically on natural gas and pipeline infrastructure. Northwest Ohio checks all the boxes when telling the natural gas story. This region offers not just an abundance but also reliability, competitive pricing, and the expertise to operate plants, facilities and pipelines in a safe, responsible manner.
Within the campaign, the RGP reported how businesses will discover a redundancy of natural gas sufficiently meeting the energy needs of high-volume users such as AI, steel and data centers, providing them an advantage over their competition from other parts of the country including the South, the Gulf and West Coast.
Finally, the RGP promoted Meta’s recent announcement to build a new data center in Wood County. The company cited Northwest Ohio’s abundant energy supply, prime land, ready infrastructure and community support as key reasons for its decision to invest $800 million to construct a 715,000 square-foot facility.
