Six small businesses across Northwest Ohio received funding assistance in the second quarter of 2025 to help support their growing operations. The JobsOhio Small Business Grant provided funding toward these projects in the amount of $175,000. Those dollars supported the creation of 34 new jobs and the retention of 193 jobs.

The companies, spread across the 17-county region, all received assistance through the grant which provides support for companies planning an eligible investment and are able to demonstrate how the program is instrumental in moving the project forward. The Regional Growth Partnership, as the lead economic development organization serving 17 counties of Northwest Ohio, has aggressively marketed the program and helped facilitate grant assistance through JobsOhio to communities and small businesses across the region.

Eligible businesses are defined as having annual revenues between $100,000 and $25 million, having at least one year of operating history, and operating within one of JobsOhio’s 10 targeted industries with revenues primarily from B2B sales.

“Small businesses are the heart of our communities and economic ecosystems – it’s vital we identify and recognize these companies by providing the necessary support to help them continue growing and creating new opportunities."

– Dean Monske, president & CEO, RGP
