A leading full-service mechanical contracting firm has announced plans for a new facility in Defiance, Ohio, to meet increased demand and significant growth opportunities within the industry.
Titan Mechanical has purchased a new facility that will add 30,000 square feet of fabrication space. The company is investing more than $3 million and creating 24 new jobs, allowing it to have a larger footprint in the western corridor of the 17-county region.
Titan Mechanical, located in Haskins (Wood County), Ohio, has been in operation for 10 years. With approximately 90 employees, the company’s customer base includes 11 Fortune 500 firms. Company President John Gray said the new Defiance office and fabrication facility will continue to support efforts for continued growth in the area.
“This new project will take construction and fabrication to a whole new level, modularizing the workflow and making it more predictable and efficient."

The company delivers high quality mechanical and millwright solutions for industrial, commercial, educational and manufacturing facilities. Titan Mechanical assists customers with predictable solutions for complex mechanical systems, including plant expansions and capital improvements.
“Titan Mechanical’s arrival in Defiance County exemplifies the positive impact of industrial projects on a community,” said Erika Willitzer, executive director, Defiance County Economic Development. “Over the past several years, multiple expansion projects have taken place, with Titan Mechanical successfully winning the bids to work on them. This led to the company establishing a presence in Defiance. We are delighted to welcome a company of Titan’s caliber to our county.”
Gray talked about the decision to reinvest in Northwest Ohio, recognizing the diversity of industry, work culture and collaboration of regional economic development partners.
“This is a great place to raise a family and the people in the area are first class with a strong work ethic,” he said. “Defiance County Economic Development and the Regional Growth Partnership were instrumental in our decision to expand in Northwest Ohio.”
Gray also highlighted the support from JobsOhio, which provided an economic development grant to the company, which is expected to begin full production at the new facility in August 2025.
“Titan Mechanical’s decision to purchase and expand a 30,000 square-foot facility in Defiance allows the company to continue its success in Northwest Ohio, adding 24 new jobs to its proven workforce. The new operations will boost Titan Mechanical’s efficiencies and pipe fabrication capacity, allowing the company to meet rapidly growing demand from its customers.”
