One of North America’s leading surplus equipment providers has announced plans to expand its Fulton County facility. NRI Industrial Sales will construct a new 60,000 square-foot building, enabling the company to process larger volumes of equipment, offer faster turnaround times, and support businesses seeking sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
The $4.7 million expansion project in Delta is expected to create 15 new jobs.
“We are expanding to take advantage of the rapid growth and transformation currently reshaping the industrial sector,” said Saif Syed, CEO, NRI Industrial Sales. “Industries worldwide are undergoing significant change, driven by technological advancements, electrification, and the push for greater sustainability. We are committed to being at the forefront of these changes and playing a leading role in advancing circular economy practices across all sectors we serve.”
Headquartered in Canada, NRI Industrial Sales operates in four countries with 60 global employees, including 35 at the existing facility in Delta. The company provides asset recovery, surplus equipment sales, liquidation and consignment services to a variety of industries, including manufacturing, energy, automotive, food processing, oil & gas, pulp and paper, and heavy equipment.
“NRI Industrial Sales is a leading global surplus equipment provider that continues to thrive in Ohio. This expansion will increase the workforce in Delta by 50 percent while improving efficiencies across the supply chain, serving many sectors that power Ohio’s diverse economy.”
– J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio President and CEO
Syed added that the company helps businesses turn surplus and obsolete industrial equipment into valuable opportunities. “We connect sellers and buyers worldwide, offering cost-effective access to second-hand equipment while reducing waste and supporting sustainability,” he said.
The Delta location, opened in 2012, offers key strategic advantages that made it ideal for NRI’s expansion, according to Syed. These assets included its proximity to market, the highway, rail and shipping transportation network, the low-cost business climate, and the regional workforce.
“The community in Delta values hard work, and many workers have backgrounds in industrial or logistics roles, which aligns perfectly with our operational needs. Investing in Ohio means investing in people who are not only capable but committed."
– Saif Syed, CEO, NRI Industrial Sales
The company also recognized the outstanding collaboration among the economic development partners in moving the project forward, which is scheduled for completion this month. Those partners include JobsOhio, the Regional Growth Partnership and Fulton County Economic Development.
“NRI Industrial Sales has been a strong partner in Fulton County for more than a decade, and we’re proud to support their continued growth here,” said Jim Wyse, executive director, Fulton County Economic Development Corporation. “This expansion is not only a testament to the company’s success, but also to the strength of our workforce and the collaborative environment we’ve built with partners like JobsOhio and the Regional Growth Partnership.”
