A world-leading metal lithography company has announced plans to consolidate operations to its headquarters in Northwest Ohio, a cost-competitive move that decreases overhead for the company and ultimately benefits customers.
Ohio Art, recognized as a cornerstone of American manufacturing since 1908, will invest nearly $10 million and add 53 new jobs through this consolidation at its Bryan, Ohio location. The company is a third-generation, family-led business founded in Archbold and later moving to Bryan in 1912.
“For over 100 years, our roots have been in Northwest Ohio, and our commitment to this community remains as strong as ever. As third-generation leadership, we honor the families who built this company and look ahead with a family-first culture and continued investment to ensure the next generation thrives here.”
– Elena West, Chief Executive Officer, Ohio Art
Ohio Art produces decorated metal packaging and products. Its precision printing and color reproduction are protected to withstand the rigors of stamping and fabrication for major consumer goods companies. Industries served include entertainment, décor, food/beverage, health/beauty and manufacturing.
Over its history, Ohio Art produced picture frames, toys and the world-famous Etch A Sketch. In 2016, the company sold that latter brand, choosing to refocus on its core strengths in metal lithography, packaging and decorative metalwork.
With more than a century of innovation behind it, Ohio Art remains committed to advancing American manufacturing – smarter, safer, stronger, and more sustainable than ever, West said.
In choosing to consolidate at its corporate location, company officials highlighted Northwest Ohio‘s strategic, central location and extensive transportation corridors to efficiently reach customers.
Ohio Art’s CEO also credited this region’s strong work ethic, pointing out Northwest Ohio is home to resilient, mechanically inclined people. “Their ability to solve problems efficiently and pragmatically makes them exceptional employees and an invaluable part of our long-term success,” West said.
Company executives also congratulated economic development groups, including JobsOhio, Williams County Economic Development and the Regional Growth Partnership, for their responsive, collaborative and committed efforts in supporting Ohio Art and driving success for Northwest Ohio.
“Ohio Art has been manufacturing in Bryan for more than a century, and it continues to evolve and grow its operations in the region. This latest investment brings more than 50 new jobs to the facility while demonstrating the ongoing confidence the company has in its local talent to keep this iconic brand growing in Northwest Ohio.”
– J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio President and CEO
“This expansion represents a major win for our local workforce and economy,” said Ashley Epling, executive director, Williams County Economic Development. “We’re grateful for the support of JobsOhio, the Ohio Department of Development, and our local partners whose teamwork made this possible. Together, we’re building a stronger future for Williams County and the businesses that call it home.”
Ohio Art officials anticipate the consolidation will be complete in Q4 2026.
