A global provider of data acquisition devices has announced plans to expand operations at its Lucas County facility. Located in Whitehouse, Ohio, Dewesoft will hire at least 17 new people and add 20,000 square feet to its existing building to better respond to its growing business.
In acknowledging economic development groups and partners including JobsOhio, the Regional Growth Partnership and Lucas County, Nowicki added, “We are very appreciative of the commitment these groups have made toward building a positive business environment which makes it possible for our continued growth and success.”
Headquartered in the central European country of Slovenia, Dewesoft develops and manufactures versatile and easy-to-use data acquisition systems for test and measurement engineers. The company employs 250 people globally with 16 subsidiaries. Here in Northwest Ohio, Whitehouse serves as the North American headquarters, primarily providing sales and support services.
Speaking to the company’s $6 million investment, Nowicki commended the state of Ohio’s business climate and the regional workforce, citing both as contributing factors in the decision to expand in Northwest Ohio.
Dewesoft systems are used in many application areas, from flight testing to combustion analysis, bridge mounting to acoustics, and many more. The data acquisition hardware has an application to a myriad of industrial processes.
The Regional Growth Partnership worked closely with JobsOhio in managing the incentive process which procured a grant through JobsOhio to help support expansion of the facility. Lucas County also provided local incentives toward the project.
“Dewesoft’s expansion demonstrates the company’s confidence in Ohio’s talent to sell and support innovative data acquisition systems globally. This investment in the company’s North American headquarters in Whitehouse will advance evolving measurement technology for its growing international customer base.”
Expansion of the facility is expected to begin in August.
