Custom Glass Solutions, a leading producer of large format, laminated glass systems, is expanding operations into Fostoria. The company is making a significant investment in the area which will create nearly 100 new positions. CGS is tied to Northwest Ohio’s robust automotive sector which has attracted more than 4,000 jobs to the region over the last three years with investment exceeding $2.2 billion.
The Fostoria facility will provide around 1,100 unique SKUs to more than 70 different customers. Leasing a facility in Seneca County for its new operations, CGS is counting on the reliable workforce and logistics assets to grow its flat laminated glass footprint. “Fostoria has a rich history of manufacturing and an eager workforce with skillsets that align well with our operations,” said Neale Yeomans, CEO of Custom Glass Solutions.
The company received a grant from JobsOhio to offset costs associated with new machinery and equipment. In addition, CGS recognized the Regional Growth Partnership and the Fostoria Economic Development Corporation for instrumental support in securing a new facility.
