The University of Toledo is featured in national media today, as a chain of altruistic kidney transplants gets underway.
The Alliance for Paired Donation, an organization created by Dr. Michael Rees, assistant professor of urology and medical director of the University of Toledo Medical Center's kidney transplant program, is featured.
The organization is dedicated to pairing kidney donors with recipients in need, who do not necessarily know each other personally.
